A HIGH-END BARGAIN
The K21, featuring G4 Oladra technology, offers world-class sound and network streaming with- out the Re-clocker. It serves as a Server and Play- er, providing excellent value for smaller libraries without DSP needs. Upgrade by adding a K41 for K50-level USB output performance.
2 PROCESSOR
The K21 features a high-quality, low-powered processing engine that supports both Server and Player applications. It works as an excellent Play- er device, ideal for adding player end-points to Oladra systems, particularly when USB output is desired. The primary signal output is via USB, ful- ly compatible with USB Audio 2.0 standard (USB Type A). Additionally, the K21 supports network streaming via Ethernet to streamers.
DESIGN
The KALA 21 employs a single custom computer for both its Server and Player applications. This computer is based on the Player computer found in the KALA 50, but with enhanced processing capabilities.
The medium-power Server/Player computer manages playback and enables you to play content across your network to multiple endpoints. Additionally, it allows connection to the DAC in your primary system via USB.
UPGRADE
Similar to all KALA models, the KALA 21 has been designed with upgradability in mind for future releases.
Additionally, you have the option to enhance your KALA 21 to achieve KALA 50 performance over USB by incorporating a KALA 41. By separating the Server and Player applications and allocating additional power to the Server app, this upgrade enhances musical insight and refinement. Furthermore, it ensures seamless handling of large music libraries and DSP functions.
