The Acoustic Signature Tornado NEO is a high-mass turntable designed around a combination of substantial construction, multi-motor drive technology and vibration-control systems. Its 2-inch aluminum alloy chassis incorporates Constraint Layer Damping (CLD), while the anodized aluminum platter uses integrated Silencer modules to help control unwanted platter vibration.
Three completely insulated AC motors drive the platter through an RPM-regulated double-belt system, with speed fine adjustment handled through the external DMC-20 digital motor controller. The motor controller also incorporates Acoustic Signature’s Level 2 Anti-Vibration Control (AVC) technology and a super-stable multi-voltage power supply.
The Tornado NEO uses a high-precision Dura Turn Diamond bearing with a diamond-coated spindle. Three height-adjustable gel-damped aluminum feet provide a stable three-point setup, while adjustable armboards allow the turntable to accommodate up to three 9- to 12-inch tonearms.
