The Vertere XtraX MC is a precision-engineered moving-coil cartridge designed to extract an exceptional level of information from vinyl. Its single-piece, precision CNC-machined aluminium alloy chassis provides a rigid, mechanically controlled foundation for the cartridge’s low-mass generator, while the Tri-Point Contact mounting system ensures precise coupling to the tonearm.
At the heart of the XtraX is a low-mass generator incorporating a Samarium-Cobalt magnet and pure virgin copper cross-coil. The generator is secured within the high-mass body using Vertere’s Quad-Point Contact system, with four stainless-steel spike screws providing support and control of unwanted mechanical vibration.
The stylus assembly combines a telescopic aluminium cantilever made from two different aluminium materials with a Nude Micro Elliptical single-crystal diamond. The square-shank diamond mounting is designed to maximise alignment precision, consistency and rigidity, while the lightweight cantilever supports accurate groove tracking and extended high-frequency response.
