SG-II Pathfinder Tonearm

The Vertere SG-II Pathfinder Tonearm, or Super Groove II Pathfinder, builds on the design of the SG-I PTA while introducing substantial refinements aimed at improving balance, precision and the mechanical connection between cartridge and record surface.

The SG-II shares only three components with its predecessor, adopting design ideas from Vertere’s flagship Reference Tonearm. Its revised weight distribution is designed to reduce unwanted stylus movement, while the new titanium headshell and heavier, decoupled dual-axis counterweight provide improved dynamic mass distribution and azimuth adjustment.

A stiffer rolled carbon-fibre arm tube further enhances the connections between the tonearm’s key components. The result is a carefully engineered tri-pivot articulated tonearm designed to provide precise cartridge movement and a highly controlled interface with the record groove.
